ARIS have added another trophy to their trophy cabinet after the club’s U17 side secured the Cyprus championship for the 2025/26 season, capping a remarkable run for one of the island’s most talented young football generations.
As reported by Cyprus Mail, the squad, made up mostly of players born in 2008 and 2009, has now claimed four Cyprus championship titles in just five years, a streak that started with the U13 crown in 2021/22 and included a stretch of roughly 50 matches without defeat.
This year’s title was far from a formality. ARIS had to fend off strong challenges from APOEL, Omonia and Ayia Napa throughout the campaign. A pivotal moment came in a clash with APOEL, when ARIS came back from a half-time deficit and snatched victory through a last-minute header from 17-year-old defender Artem Fisher. The championship itself was only confirmed on the final day of the season, when ARIS drew with AEK while closest rivals Omonia were held to a draw by Karmiotissa.
Beyond the silverware, the achievement highlights the depth of ARIS’s academy setup, which now includes close to 2,000 children working through a structured pathway toward the first team. Ten members of the current U17 group already featured for the U19 side this season, and several have represented Cyprus at youth international level. Some graduates have already moved on to senior football abroad, with Max Enqvist joining Kalmar in Sweden and both Giorgos Kestas and Alexandros Geroukalis signing for AEK Athens in Greece.
International exposure has been a deliberate part of the club’s development plan. The team took part in the Elite Neon Cup in Greece last year, and the newly crowned champions are set to travel to the Netherlands in 2026 for the Heemskerk Cup, giving the young squad another chance to test itself against foreign opposition.
The academy’s growth has been supported by Coinspaid Solutions, title partner of the ARIS FC Academy, whose backing has helped fund training camps, specialist coaching and international travel for the club’s youth teams. Pavel Kashuba, Strategic Leader at Coinspaid Solutions, said the company was proud to support the young players as part of its broader corporate philanthropy efforts, adding that seeing their progress translate into results made the partnership especially rewarding. The academy also operates out of the Coinspaid Training Centre in Kato Polemidia, a facility built specifically to support the club’s long-term development goals.
For ARIS, the U17 title represents more than a seasonal accolade. It reinforces a system built to convert youth success into professional careers, with the club now focused on helping this generation make the leap from champions at academy level to established names in senior football, both in Cyprus and internationally.
